The constructed and completed 11 townhouses – including two adaptable units – are located in this three storey residential development on a leafy suburban street in St. Ives. Each unit has its own ground floor access and substantial balcony and terrace space.  

The design of the block responds to the site topography, stepping down the hill and minimising its impact on the forest setting. The development accommodates basement parking, maximising deep soil on site. All units are two or three bedrooms and dual aspect, making the most of the east-west orientation. An operable wall between the ground floor living area and private courtyard opens up seamlessly connecting indoor and outdoor spaces.

The facade has been designed to reference the colours of the local surrounding leafy landscape. Key facade materials utilised are brick and weatherboard for their robustness and for their connection to context.
